Its a solid game. pretty fun, and well made.

Not bad...

It's a good game. could use a little something more... but it's solid as is. One thing that kinda annoyed me tho was that sometimes, I'd try to spell a word, and incidentally would spell a smaller word, and that prevented me from spelling the longer word I had in mind. Maybe some kind of confirmation could be applied before scoring a word to make sure that was the word a player is going for.

The artwork is phenomenal. Possibly the best pixel style animation I've ever seen. truly awesome. Gameplay is very solid. awesome game. love the music too, and the humor was a nice touch. you good sir, are very good at this.

%100 brilliant. So far I just played once, and I died, and it blew my mind. I will definitely play some more, and see the different outcomes. this is hilarious.

Simple concept, very fun... and the communication of what obstacles are coming is very effective. It looks great, controls react smoothly, and sound design is legit. this totally bones. awesome game man.

Seriously lacking.

This is a beautiful game... it works perfectly, and I didn't experience any bugs. The animation, and music are flawless... Unfortunately it's not really fun. It's super repetitive, and lacking true depth. Sure there was alot of stuff you *could* do, but they mostly stemmed from how long you're pressing spacebar... and really I got through all of the stages just by running thru and tapping spacebar madly, making all the other moves kind of... unnecessary.... not fun. Also, I saw no point to the "rage" aspect... what was the difference between "Ragefully" slaying enemies... and ("calmly?" lol) slaying them?

Anyway, this game is VERY well made aesthetically, and I even appreciate the attempt at "depth" from the complex set of moves/effects... like I said, the game works PERFECTLY, I just feel like the actual gameplay, and maybe even the controls could use some revamping. For instance, if there's no requirement to use certain moves/features... what's the point in using them? Good gameplay will incorporate scenarios that require players to utilize all of the character's skills at various points in the game, testing how well they've mastered them. In this game, you can just kind of mash your way through stages with just the quick combos. thats NOT solid gameplay. Since this genre has been done a billion times... it's super important to ensure that game play is solid. You don't want your players getting bored of it after the first few stages.

Anyway, I think that the skills shown here for making a good game is worth a good score. The entertainment factor keeps me from giving it a GREAT score. My final opinion is that this is a very beautiful, well made, though unchallenging game, lacking in solid game-play, and entertainment.

You know what you've done. congrats. this is just like my childhood memories. I got an E, but I'm going for the S. Thank you for making a game worth playing... it's been a long time since a game could give me butterflies in my stomach as I jump over spike pits. I will most definitely keep an eye out for the next 4!! This game is perfect. I see absolutely no reason to give it anything less than a 10... solid controls, nostalgic visuals, a proper soundtrack... this is "fried gold". Please let me know personally when and where part 2 drops!

Excellent game.

Just needs a bit of tweaking in the framerate/lag, and the control responsiveness. otherwise this is perfect, and such an original concept! I totally dig it.
